What is No-Fault Insurance?
Florida is one of only a few states that operate under a no-fault insurance system. This means that regardless of who caused an accident, each driver's insurance company pays for their damages and injuries up to their policy limits.
Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
PIP coverage is mandatory in Florida and covers medical expenses, lost wages, and other related costs for you and your passengers. You must have at least $10,000 in PIP coverage.
Property Damage Liability
You also need minimum property damage liability of $10,000 to cover damages to other people's vehicles or property.
